At the end of each day, we tick off items from our ‘To- Do’ list. Kindly let us also check our ‘To- Be’ list. Daily self evaluation, estimation, judgment, appraisal is a healthy practice and the key to success, accomplishment, achievement in every sphere of our lives. At some point or the other, we receive feedback, assessment, estimation, response from other people about our inner personality, character, nature, charisma of who we are, who we can be, and how can we improve, enhance, upgrade, boost. Instead of knowing ourselves through the eyes of others, we can self evaluate ourselves daily and improve our inner personality. This will bring a drastic, exorbitant, extravagant, desperate change in your looks, your behaviour, attitude, conduct, your personality, temperament, charisma without fail. You may not get a chance to partake in some gigantic, extensive, enormous, colossal scheme of service through which millions may be aided, helped, benefitted; you can lift a lame lamb over a stile, or lead a blind child across a busy road. That too is an act of worship, adoration, reverence. Seva is more fruitful than japa, dhyana, yajna and yaga, recommended for spiritual, divine, religious aspirants. Seva serves two purposes: the extinction, destruction, annihilation, of the ego, and the attainment, achievement, accomplishment of pleasure, happiness. In playing different roles, are you always focusedon what you are doing and not on how you are being? Regardless of what stage of life now you are in, it is important to see yourself clearly & evaluate your personality, your habits, behaviour, values, strengths and different areas that you need to improve. Other peoples opinion or feedback about you is usually coloured by their perspective, mood or personality. Therefore, self-evaluation is the most reliable method to understand who you really are and how you can change yourself. Maintain ‘To-Be’ listwith personality characteristics. e.g.

a) Did I see everyone’s specialities and ignore their weaknesses?

b) Did I remain free from all forms of anger and ego? 3) Did I remain free from fear, and worry?

4) Did I remain content with myself, others and every scene of my life?

5) Did I keep everyone ahead of me without any jealousy and comparison? Or any other personality characteristics which you feel are lacking in you or you want to improve. Keep changing the personality characteristics in your list from time to time or keep them the same from for sometime and then change, depending upon your choice & requirement requirement. More aged you get, more the experience. Life will teach you so much, if you can assimilate them and compromise with your lifestyle accordingly, you can lead a peaceful life and guide the millennials.
