When you are overwhelmed with desires, you cannot be content. You will lose control over senses when intoxicated with insatiable desires. There are so many hidden desires in our hearts. Will they ever be fulfilled? Will anyone come to know about it? Many times it carries pure thought of bringing benefit to others which goes unnoticed. I wish every morning: ‘May the Almighty God the comforter of hearts use me as an instrument to bring joy and peace in the life of others. May my action give comfort to the people who are meandering in the search for the purpose of life.’ The more I ruminate the more I feel connected with myself. Like the ocean of mercy, I too have a gentle heart filled with mercy for others. Reading golden versions from our scriptures opens a divine door to unlimited maturity and innocence that helps me to be a compassionate human being. Once, I was overpowered with vices of anger and pride which made my life miserable. At this time, I could remember only one saying – ‘there is a time for misery and there is it time for liberalisation.’ As I’m getting liberated, I find my mind and intellect also getting cleansed. The cleansing process is very subtle, very slow and very gratifying. There is no other spiritual teacher than your own soul. Reality speaks for itself. Music of love starts to connect people to people. What we perceive and how we perceive determines the source of desire. Human wants are increasing day by day and so are the endless desires. I remember one of my friend saying, ‘need is what is required and want is never ending.’ But there is a difference between materialistic wants and spiritual wants. Spiritual wants leads to satisfaction and materialistic wants leads to dissatisfaction. Or will it end ever? If one desire gets fulfilled there is another waiting. Sorrow, peacefulness are looming throughout and souls are getting thirsty for inner happiness. The mind is completely immersed in achieving one wish after the other. Thoughts up become completely hollow. Except for materialistic wishes, it has no feelings of love, respect, joy and contentment. The attitude of gratitude is missing. You have to give in order to see which starts at the thought level. No one wants to understand others but wants others to understand them. Connection with the Supreme God is the only remedy for today. Victory over the vice of desire only occur once the mind gets cleansed with the remembrance of Almighty God. Knowing the true purpose of life and my role on the planet earth will transform the impure desire into a pure desire thereby making the journey fruitful performing pure elevated actions
